2:16: Chelsea swing in a corner, but Alnwick again confidently punches clear, giving Newcastle a rare change to venture forward through Sissoko and Cisse. It's five on two but the Newcastle pair almost fashion something down the inside left flank only for it to break down at the pivotal moment.
2:14: Chelsea pass. Chelsea cross. Newcastle clear. That's been the formula for the last couple of minutes, the home side are remaining well-organised and are dilligently sticking to their jobs.
2:11: All three changes now made for Mourinho as Didier Drogba comes on for Willian with Felipe Luis on for Azpilicueta.
2:10: Hazard tries to sneak up the byline but Perez again tracks his dilligently and superbly sees the ball out of play.
2:09: Chelsea have regained possession but aren't really putting Newcastle under great pressure. They keep the ball after a failed corner through Hazard, who looks to thread one inside for Fabregas but the Spaniard can't bring the ball under control.
2:07: Schurrle is shown a yellow card for crashing into the back of Colback. He doesn't complain.
2:05: Mourinho has responded by introducing Andre Schurrle for Oscar. The German gets his first sight of goal a moment later, drilling one from range but Alnwick saves comfortably.
2:03: Nearly a second for Newcastle! From that corner Chelsea Dummett does well to outleap Ivanovic and nod the ball onto Cisse who really should do better from six yards out, but lifts his effort over the bar.
2:02: Chelsea are rocking here. Newcastle maintain the pressure and force a corner after more shaky defence from Cahill.
2:00: Newcastle have the lead! Sammy Amoebi breaks ahead of his man down the left flank and pings a ball across goal that Gary Cahill fails to clear, letting the ball roll under his foot into the path of Cisse who sweeps home from close range.
Goal! Newcastle 1-0 Chelsea (Papiss Cisse, 57)
1:59: What a chance for Mikel! Fabregas whips a free kick in from the left and lands it right on the bonce of the Blues midfielder, but he directs it horribly wide of goal.
1:57: Now it's Newcastle applying the pressure with both Janmaat and Dummett threatening down the flanks. The ball falls to left back Dummett who fires a ball across the face of goal but he can't pick out a teammate in the box.
1:56: Change for Newcastle, Papiss Cisse has come on for the largely ineffective Remy Cabella.
1:55: Chelsea probing in front of the Chelsea box but Newcastle dilligently keep them at bay with Paul Dummett forcing Eden Hazard to retreat and look back for Fabregas, who gives possession away (!).
1:51: Tiote is shown the first yellow card of the game following a late challenge on Azpilicueta. From the resulting free kick Alnwick confidently punches away, flattening Diego Costa in the process. Decent start for the youngster.
1:50: Hazard, having returned to the left flank at the start of this half, races towards the byline and diverts the ball back across goal only for Dummett to clear.
1:48: And we are back underway for the second half and that change has happened, Jak Alnwick is on for his debut replacing Elliot who has suffered a thigh injury.
1:40: With Rob Elliot struggling, 21-year-old Jak Alnwick is out warming up ahead of the second half.
1:32: The half time whistle goes but worryingly for Newcastle, Rob Elliot looks to be in some discomfort as he comes off the pitch.
HALF TIME
Newcastle United 0-0 Chelsea
1:30: Newcastle half clear a ball lifted in from the right but it falls to Fabregas on the edge of the box who dinks a ball over to Oscar. With his back to goal, the Brazilian opts for the spectacular overhead kick. He generates some terrific power on the shot but it veers just wide of Elliot's post.
1:26: Elliot is out to collect Willian's shot on goal and tries to launch a counter through Perez who brilliantly evades a mistimed challenge from Ivanovic and embarks on a run down the left. With no one offering support, the young forward does brilliantly to retain the ball until Cabella eventually arrives on the scene but can only shank the ball wide.
1:23: Newcastle again threaten down the left but an exchange between Ameobi and Sissoko breaks down. Perez tries to keep it alive, cutting a ball inside where Cahill tries to clear but Colback gets their first and wallops one towards goal, but it flies wide of Courtois' post.
1:21: Newcastle are guilty of overplaying the ball a tad allowing Chelsea to break through ominously with Costa, Oscar and Hazard racing ahead. A terrific challenge from Colback stops the Spaniard on the half way line however and Newcastle return to apply more pressure on Jose Mourinho's side.
1:18: What a chance for Newcastle! Ameobi cuts the ball inside from the to find Perez on the edge of the D. The Spaniard threads an excellent ball through to find Colback who has broken through into the box but his first time effort on goal is charged down by Courtois. Best chance of the game so far from a very slick move from the home side.
1:15: Chelsea are creating openings but as yet have been unable to unlock Newcastle. Perez relieves the pressure for the home side and holds up play in the corner as he waits for support to arrive in the box. It eventually comes in the form of Sissoko's run inside the box but Cahill steps across to clear.
1:11: Sissoko does brilliantly to evade Willian before finding Tiote inside. He looks to spread the play to the right but only finds Oscar who takes his find offer to counter attack and races towards goal. Costa is eventually freed inside the left of the box but from a tight angle his effort is fired straight at Elliot.
1:08: Chelsea again expose Newcastle down the flanks. This time the ball comes in from the right but a brilliant challenge from Dummett blocks Costa's effort on goal after being picked out by Fabregas. Oscar then tries to slot home from the edge of the box but it's deflected wide for a corner. Nothing comes from it.
1:06: Close from Willian! Hazard, who is enjoying a bit more space down the left now, bursts into space before sliding the ball across for Costa. It misses the striker but finds Willian on the edge of the box who tries to sweep the ball into the back of the net, but his effort is inches wide of the far post.
1:03: Costa shows neat footwork to beat his man down the inside right flank but Chelsea lose possession after some dilligent defending by Perez. The young Spaniard prompts a counter attack, finding Sissoko down the left but Chelsea quickly get numbers back. The ball eventually finds Ameobi who tries to find the net from 30 yards out. He doesn't.
1:00: Chances at both ends. John Terry rushes forward to win a 50-50 but fails, allowing Newcastle to spread the ball down the inside right to Janmaat. The Dutchman whips an excellent cross into the box but Courtois is out in a flash to collect with Cisse lurking. On the counter Hazard bombards down the left flank, bearing down ominiously on goal. He has both Costa and Willian sprinting towards goal to give him an option but the Belgian opts to cut inside and shoot himself. It's a poor effort that doesn't trouble Elliot.
12:57: Chelsea click into gear for the first time and almost carve an opening. Apilicueta's run down the left is picked out with a fine cross-field ball after some neat build up play, allowing the Spaniard to drift in and cut the ball across goal to Willian. He has a yard to work the ball onto his right foot and tries to curl one into the bottom corner but Elliot sees it wide.
12:55: Half chance for Diego Costa as the ball is cut back to him just inside the area but he is unable to bring it under control and Newcastle clear their lines.
12:53: It's been a fairly balanced start to the half with both sides happy to exchange possession without really threatening. Hazard has had little space to get in behind the Newcastle United backline with Janmaat keeping a close eye on him.
12:50: Tiote slides in and just about nicks the ball away from Oscar who was threatening to burst into space down the left. You expect the big Ivorian to have a busy afternoon today alongside Jack Colback, with Moussa Sissoko and Remy Cabella given the freedom to roam.
12:47: Diego Costa tries to batter his way through the Newcastle backline but is eventually stopped in his tracks. Oscar picks up the pieces and looks wide for Hazard but the Belgian is well marshalled by Janmaat who sees the ball out for a goal kick.
12:45: And we are underway at James' Park.
12:30: Jose Mourinho's side are currently unbeaten in 21 games and talk of an unbeaten season is growing louder and louder as the points rack up. Unsurprisingly, Jose Mourinho has his eye on the prize and not records.
I'm not looking for records, I'm looking for points."Victories and points. And if possible, at the end of the season, titles."

TEAM NEWS:
Newcastle United: Pardew has made five changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Burnley with Moussa Sissoko returning from suspension, joining Jack Colback and Remy Cabella in the first team with Papiss Cisse leading the line.
Chelsea: After serving his suspension Diego Costa is back in Chelsea's attack but Nemanja Matic has picked up a ban of his own with John Obi Mikel stepping into his place.
12:15: Manchester Cuty's emphatic win over Sunderland on Wednesday tempered suggestions Chelsea will run away with the Premier League title. For now, anyway. Jose Mourinho's side are still unbeaten this season and have won 11 of their 14 games and have shown little sign of showing down. Newcastle United meanwhile put together six back to back wins to relieve Alan Pardew of pressure until that run was brought to an end by West Ham United at the end of November. A draw to Burnley last time out however ensured they remained in the top half of the table.
