TOTTENHAM 0 STOKE CITY 1
Is there anything Tottenham can do to prevent a 1-0 home defeat by Stoke this afternoon? Email your advice for Mauricio Pochettino to alan.tyers@telegraph.co.uk
22 mins: Bojan switches off, does not pressure Mason, and the Spurs man has a solid efffort from distance.
21 mins: Another good run from Bojan but this time the Spurs centre halves bother to tackled him.
20 mins: Good noise from the WHL crowd as they try to inspire their boys, but Stoke have had much the better of the first 20, passing it well and winning most of the physical contests. Confidence a factor for Spurs.
19 mins: Moses looking a dangerous customer down the left for Stoke.
17 mins: Better from Spurs, Chadli and Townsend enjoying a bit of the ball in the Stoke third, down the right. Norton slings the ball in for Kane, who cannot get much of a header away under pressure from Stoke's formidable central defence.
14 mins: Walters and Boyan break, again they have got the freedom of the Spurs half. Need a tackle. Slipped out to Moses but his left foot shot is poor. Good enough for a corner, though. And from said corner, Wilson with an effort that never seriously concerned Lloris.
12 mins: Spurs look rattled, and a bit green. These Stoke lads know what they're about, a lot of experience, physical, quick, effective and they have put Spurs on the back foot. Eriksen looks to start something, breaks, and is fouled by Nzonzi. He won't be the last. Erkisen himself takes the freekick, curls it over. Would have been some strike, 35 yards perhaps.
9 mins: Phil Bardsley has picked up an injury and is leaving the field of play. Replaced. Oh look, there's Jurgen Klinsmann in the crowd. His USA side are going to train at Spurs this week ahead of an international match v Ireland on the 18th.
GOAL! A superb run from Bojan, picking it up from deep and running at the heart of the defence. The Spurs defence complicit in their own downfall, though, backing off the Stoke man and allowing him freedom and time to hit a hard shot at goal. It travels through a crowd of players. not sure Lloris saw it. Well, he certainly didn't stop it. Excellent goal. Nobody from Spurs went anywhere near him until Broadwy Danny Rose belatedly came over from left back. TOTTENHAM 0 STOKE CITY 1 (Bojan 6)
5 mins: Stoke play it long, and quick, and Dioud tries to get onto the ball. Clash with Lloris. Bang on the head for Diouf. Delay
4 mins: Chadli crosses after a fine run, Harry Kane in the box and he heads at goal! Begovic just gets there in time. Good move Spurs. Kane, who can be seen in the very bottom left-hand corner, headed from a narrow angle but could not get any power on it. The cross was excellent, taking Shawcross et al out of the game.

2 mins: Freekick from Stoke after a minor foul from Chadli.
1 mins: Andros T making his first start of the season in the League, as is Harry Kane. And here is Harry getting into a challenge with Ryan Shawcross. That'll make a man of you pretty quickly.
13.30 Excellent atmosphere, a quarter of the pitch bathed in sunshine. We're off. Average age of the Spurs team is 24..
13.29 Oh look, there is Michael McIntyre
13.28 Minute's silence at White Hart Lane. Uou could hear a pin drop.
13.20 Mixed preparations for this match here at Live Blog HQ. The equivalent of a groin injury in the warm-up: techincal problems and all that. But it's on now. So on.
13.02 We have. It's 2555 and Spurs are being a bit disappointing. Stoke players have evolved to grow an extra head.
13.00 Agency copy about the match. Written in the past tense. Jarring. OR HAVE WE TRAVELLED THROUGH TIME?
In-form Tottenham striker Harry Kane was handed his first Barclays Premier League start of the season as Mauricio Pochettino's side hosted Stoke at White Hart Lane.
Pochettino made seven changes to the team that beat Asteras Tripolis in the Europa League on Thursday as Hugo Lloris, Kyle Naughton, Younes Kaboul, Danny Rose, Etienne Capoue, Ryan Mason and Nacer Chadli all came in.
Phil Bardsley returned for Stoke after missing last Saturday's draw with West Ham through suspension, replacing Geoff Cameron in defence.
12.55 Ha.

12.50 Spurs fans: how do you think it is all going? How do you like Pochettino so far?
12.35 No. HERE are the teams.
Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris, Naughton, Kaboul, Fazio, Rose, Capoue, Mason, Townsend, Eriksen, Chadli, Kane. Subs: Vertonghen, Soldado, Adebayor, Lamela, Vorm, Dier, Dembele.
Stoke: Begovic, Bardsley, Shawcross, Wilson, Pieters, Nzonzi, Sidwell, Walters, Bojan, Moses, Diouf. Subs: Muniesa, Ireland, Arnautovic, Adam, Cameron, Crouch, Sorensen.
Referee: Mike Jones (Cheshire)
12.30 Right. Here are the teams
Spurs: Lloris, Naughton, Fazio, Kaboul (c), Rose; Capoue, Mason; Chadli, Eriksen, Townsend; Kane. Subs: Vorm, Dier, Vertonghen, Dembele, Lamela, Adebayor, Soldado
Oh no wait. Only Spurs have tweeted their team yet. I wonder if the people who run clubs' twitter accounts compete to get the team out before the opponent. A small but possibly decisive early advantage?
12.20 Still, Harry Kane eh? He's doing well.
12.10 Spurs, meanwhile, have taken up their now-traditional position in the middle of the table, not really in any danger of getting relegated, or doing anything as exciting as that; but in no danger whatsoever of winning anything or getting in among the big boys. The natives were getting really restless recently until a couple of wins. But still. They made a meal of beating Aston Villa - who have the distinction of putting in the worst performance I have seen this season, when they lost at QPR - and then beat some mob in the Europa League.
12.00 Good morning football fans, and indeed to Stoke fans. Joking. I for one have thoroughly enjoyed Stoke's extended tenure in the Premier League. Why should less well-off teams just roll over and play dead when they play the capital's preening manchildren turn up expect to pass pass pass pass score goal? I miss Pulis, basically, is what I am saying. Mark Hughes, in his own right, isn't everyone's cup of meat, but there's plenty to admire I think. Certainly, they have the look of exactly the sort of team who will turn over weedy pigeons Spurs at White Hart Lane.

Team News
Aaron Lennon and Emmanuel Adebayor are to be assessed before Tottenham's return to Premier League action against Stoke.
The pair were rested for the midweek Europa League trip to Asteras Tripoli due to slight hamstring complaints.
Kyle Walker continues to miss out following abdominal surgery, while Nabil Bentaleb is absent due to an ankle complaint.
Meanwhile, Stoke have Peter Crouch, Phil Bardsley and Marc Muniesa back available for Sunday's Barclays Premier League away clash with Tottenham, while Marko Arnautovic remains in line to feature despite breaking his hand.
Ex-Spurs man Crouch and Bardsley sat out the 2-2 home draw with West Ham last Saturday due to suspensions, while Muniesa was nursing an ankle problem.
Although Arnautovic is not expected to be kept out by the injury he suffered in training earlier this week, the same cannot be said of Dionatan Teixeira, who broke his foot on the same day and has joined Robert Huth (calf), Glenn Whelan (broken leg) and Peter Odemwingie (knee) on the sidelines.
Match Notes Two late goals at Aston Villa last week averted a genuine sense of crisis at Tottenham but, even after three wins in a row, there are still significant issues to address.
Christian Eriksen is struggling for last season's form while Harry Kane continues to put serious pressure on the starting place of Emmanuel Adebayor.
Stoke have only won once in five and must redress that to avoid being sucked towards a relegation battle.
Stat of the game: Spurs have lost three of their last four Premier League matches at White Hart Lane.
Jeremy Wilson's prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 1 Stoke City 1.
