Poor, old Daniel Sturridge. Just when it looked like the Liverpool hitman was finally on course to make his much anticipated (and desperately needed) Anfield return, the club confirm that he has suffered a fresh set-back that could see him sidelined for another six weeks.
So far this season, Sturridge has made only three appearances in all competitions – the last of which came in Liverpool's 3-0 victory over Tottenham back in August. Since then a succession of strains, tears and pulls have seen him in and out of the treatment room, while on the pitch Brendan Rodgers' men have struggled to regularly find the net.
His latest set-back has prompted the club to look at the player's complete medical history to see if they can figure out just why Sturridge has become so injury prone. talkSPORT have decided to take a look as well, and the results are pretty shocking.
Since joining Liverpool in January 2013, Sturridge has suffered 13 different injuries, limiting him to just 52 of the 81 matches the Redmen have played in that period. Below is his injury breakdown.
