Hull boss Steve Bruce has revealed that he is already getting phone calls from Premier League big guns inquiring about full-back Andy Robertson.
The Scotland international has raised some eyebrows with his impressive performances for his club and country and the Premier League club's manager feels it is inevitable that he will garner interest from bigger clubs.
Robertson joined Hull in the summer from Dundee United and has made eight appearances for the Tigers so far. He has also featured for the Scots and has impressed in recent games. He was named Man of the Match in Scotland's recent European qualifier against Ireland and scored a consolation goal during their 3-1 loss to England at Celtic Park.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who was brought in for a reported fee of around £2.85m has seen his value shoot up in light of his recent performances and the report claims that he is currently valued at £12m by his club.
"There has already been one or two phone calls asking 'to keep me informed'. That's always the first stage," Bruce said, as quoted by the Mirror.
The former Manchester United defender spoke about his experiences with Wilson Palacios and Antonio Valencia, during his time as Wigan manager. The two players were playing under Bruce, but their impressive performances saw big clubs hover and in the end culminated in them being sold to Tottenham and Manchester United for £12m and £16m respectively.
"I had it with Palacios when I was at Wigan and then Valencia when he went off to Manchester United. And if this kid keeps performing the way he is, then it might become inevitable."
"I spoke to Gordon about him in the summer. He threw him in against Nigeria for his first cap. He took to it like a duck to water, and he has done exactly the same when offered the challenge with us," Bruce concluded.
