18:00: Smash and grab for Tottenham as they go into the top half and just two points off the top four. Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen got the goals, after Jake Livermore's opener for Hull was overshadowed by the red card for Gaston Ramirez, which turned the game on its head.

Well that's all we have time for on this Sunday afternoon. We'll be back with every kick from matchday five in the Champions League in mid-week but until then, goodbye.

Full time: Hull City 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur

17:51: Curtis Davies loops a header wide for Hull. Tottenham holding on now. Not a bad end to this game.

17:50: Just as it looked as though Hull were going to hold out, Tottenham have snatched it. The ball breaks the way of Christian Eriksen on the edge of the box and after he is given time and space to shoot, he drives past Allan McGregor. A fine individual display from the Dane is marked with what looks like the winner. Four added minutes.

Goal: Hull City 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur (Christian Eriksen)

17:41: Hull may be unfortunate to be down to 10-men but they should not doubt be down to nine as Jake Livermore escapes without a second yellow card after a late lunge on Ryan Mason. Not really sure however referee Craig Pawson hasn't interpreted that incident better.

17:37: Nikica Jelavic with a rare chance for Hull as he attempts an acrobatic effort which flies over. Chances have dried up for Spurs in the last five minutes or so. Soldado goes off and Paulinho comes on for Pochettino's men. How they would want a late winner here.

17:33: Erik Lamela becomes the latest Spurs player to pass up the opportunity to put Tottenham ahead, shooting over after cutting inside onto his right foot. Can Hull take advantage?

17:29: Surely it's a matter of time until Spurs take the lead here as the chances continue to flow. McGregor denies Mason with an effort from range. Hull are only a force in defence now and it's all about surviving from their point of view.

17:27: And now another chance goes begging for Spurs. Aaron Lennon clips a cross towards the back post and Kane rises but miss-times his jump and nods wide. Bad miss, from all of six yards out.

17:25: Tottenham should be ahead. Chiriches crosses from the right and Soldado is all alone in the box but skews his effort wide of Hull's goal. Big let off for the hosts who have totally withdrawn since going down to ten-men.

17:21: Spurs are level and it comes from the red-hot Harry Kane on the hour mark. Christian Eriksen beats McGregor from the free-kick but when the ball strikes the post Kane reacts first to thump into an empty net.

Goal: Hull City 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur (Harry Kane)

17:17: So how can Spurs react, down to ten men and 1-0 down? Ben Davies is certainly becoming a growing influence and after he finds Ryan Mason, a floated cross almost picks out Roberto Soldado, who can only poke wide. Aaron Lennon now on for the north London side.

17:11: A potential game changer at the KC Stadium as Hull are reduced to ten-men after Gaston Ramirez is sent off. Ramirez goes down under a heavy challenge and as Vertonghen walks into the Uruguay midfielder he flicks out and sends the Belgian tumbling. It looks soft but no doubt the Hull man reacted unnecessarily. Steve Bruce is fuming.

Red card: Gaston Ramirez (Hull City)

17:08: Michael Dawson resembled a fridge at times during last season but in a Hull shirt he looks reborn and a superbly timed tackle denies Harry Kane from drawing Spurs level from the edge of the box, his shot being blocked and Hull live again.

17:04: Teams back out for the second half. Change for Spurs which sees Erik Dier off and Vlad Chiriches on. Will it change Tottenham's fortunes? Second period under way.

16:51: Jake Livermore's early goal has Hull City ahead of half time as Tottenham's problems continue. The ex-Spurs midfielder drove home after just eight minutes to give Steve Bruce's side the lead and since it's been one-way traffic, with Hugo Lloris keeping out Robbie Brady. The visitors have offered very little but Mauricio Pochettino must inspire a complete change around to prevent a fourth league defeat in five games.

Half time: Hull City 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur

16:48: Not been a great half from Tottenham but they should be level. Eriksen fizzes a cross in from the right and somehow a Hull nor a Spurs body divert the ball into the net as the ball sails through. Hull look like closing out this first half as we enter stoppage time.

16:45: One of those ludicrous passages in play when a player goes down 'injured', the referee hasn't seen a foul and the crowd persuade the team are a player up to kick the ball out of play. Gaston Ramiez is the guilty part on this occasion, as he goes down after a heavy challenge from Mason, stays down but gets up when Ben Davies puts the ball out. Football's reputation handed another shot in the arm.

16:41: Better again from Tottenham. McGregor beats away Lamela's cross and after Davies loops the ball back towards Kane at the back post the ball is shepherded behind for a corner.

16:37: Bit better from Spurs as Eriksen's shot is defected just wide of McGregor's goal. That period of pressure hasn't dampened Hull's dominance though and Brady almost helps the home side go two but his own deflected near-post shot hits the side-netting.

16:26: Lloris might have contributed to Tottenham's problems but he's saved them twice within a minute. First Robbie Brady smashes goalwards after Jelavic's pull-back, with the France skipper making a fine low save, before he tips away Elmohamady's shot before Ben Arfa skys the follow-up effort over the bar.

16:23: Hugo Lloris makes a mess of a flighted Hull free-kick, with the French stopper fumbling the ball but Spurs survive as the ball is smuggled behind for a corner. Big let off.

16:17: A bit of ball for Spurs at last as they win the ball back on the edge of the Hull area but Kane's goalbound shot is easily saved by McGregor.

16:14: A tight opening eight minutes but at last a it of quality and a goal to come with it. Fazio's header clear only drops the way of Jake Livermore who takes one touch, is put under no pressure and smashes the ball beyond Hugo Lloris. Dream start for Hull but Spurs so sluggish.

Goal: Hull City 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur (Jake Livermore)

16:04: Under way at the KC. Which of these bottom half clubs can draw first blood?

16:01: Players out at the KC Stadium. Nearly ready to go in this must-win game for both sides.

15:53: Six changes from both sides ahead of this game at the KC Stadium. Allan McGregor is among those for Hull as Steve Bruce's side look to bounce back from the defeat to Burnley which brogutb with is scathing comments from the City boss.

Spurs are without Kyle Naughton, who is suspended, as well as nine other players through injury. Harry Kane is handed a belated start in attack for Spurs, while Eri Lamela and Roberto Soldado - both of whom have points to prove - are among the starters.

15:49: Teams:

Hull City v Tottenham Hotspur

Hull City: McGregor, Elmohamady, Robertson, Dawson, Davies, Huddlestone, Livermore, Ramírez, Brady, Ben Arfa, Jelavic

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris, Dier, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies, Dembele, Mason, Eriksen, Lamela, Kane, Soldado.

15:38: So from one manager who is growing under increasing pressure to another in Mauricio Pochettino, whose Tottenham team travel to Hull City in the 4pm kick-off having lost three of their last four games. Hull's start has been far from ideal too but they could go above the north Londoners with a win this afternoon. Team news on the way.

15:33: What of the Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers? His club are on the brink of exiting the Champions League at the group stage, 18 points behind league leaders Chelsea while the Northern Irishman's transfer policy has come under major scrutiny. Is it too soon to be debating his future?

15:25: Crystal Palace complete another turnaround to beat Liverpool to add to Brendan Rodgers' problems. The Eagles jump out of the bottom three and leave the Reds with just one win from their last seven games in all competitions as they lose further ground on the top four clubs.

Full time: Crystal Palace 3-1 Liverpool

15:20: Four added minutes to be played at Selhurst Park. Can Liverpool stage a dramatic fight back?

15:13: On the day that Switzerland win their first ever Davis Cup, it's game, set and match at Selhurst Park. Mile Jedinak takes aim from 30 yards from a free-kick and fires past the despairing dive of Simon Mignolet. Fantastic strike from the Australian and that should wrap up the points.

Goal: Crystal Palace 3-1 Liverpool (Mile Jedinak)

15:10: Just 11 minutes left and Palace turn it around and take the lead. Bolasie loops the ball over Dejan Lovren on the right, speeds into the penalty area and his pull back finds Joe Ledley all alone on the penalty spot and he side-foots past Mignolet. Are Liverpool going to suffer the ignominy of defeat this afternoon?

Goal: Crystal Palace 2-1 Liverpool (Joe Ledley)

15:06: Liverpool gradually improving, huffing and puffing in the south London rain but unable to retake the lead so far. Emre Can on for the Reds but it's via the long ball route that the visitors are looking all the more threatening.

14:53: Jedinak's shot flies over the bar as Palace continue to show the greater threat. Joel Ward gets to the byline but can't get a cross in as the home side continue to press.

14:51: Not much to write home about from Selhurst Park where the second half has yet to come to life. Conditions under foot are far from ideal and that is contributing to a very scrappy game.

14:40: First effort in anger from Liverpool in this second half but Steven Gerrard's thumping free-kick flies over the bar.

14:36: Back under way at Selhurst Park. No changes at the break.

14:22: Same old story for Liverpool who have lost an early lead at Selhurt Park. Rickie Lambert gave them a second minute lead but Dwight Gayle reacted first to poke home the equaliser. Since, neither side have carved out many chances, with Yannick Bolasie Palace's greatest threat while Lambert continues to threaten for the Reds.

Half time: Crystal Palace 1-1 Liverpool

14:11: The visitors have been pretty lifeless since being pegged back, with Raheem Sterling looking particularly ineffectual, but another chance comes their way as Allen chips a ball towards the back post but Lambert can't get his head around it. Now Gerrard lashes one over from range. Palace content.

14:02: Liverpool striving to get themselves into the game and Lambert passes up that opportunity by heading over from a Gerrard free-kick. Game has settled down somewhat after a frantic opening.

13:53: Out of nothing Palace are level. Yannick Bolasie is given space and time and when Mignolet turns his shot from range onto the post, it is Gayle and not Martin Skrtel, who reacts first and stabs the ball past the Belgian.

Goal: Crystal Palace 1-1 Liverpool (Dwight Gayle)

13:45: Martin Kelly at fault for the goal and he attempts to make amends by marauding forward but after cutting inside he lashes a shot from fully 30 yards high and wide. That amounts to the threat Palace have shown in the opening 12 minutes.

13:43: A head injury for Joe Allen requires some attention and sees Liverpool temporarily down to 10-men. Palace not really got going but have already opted for some route one football early on, in an attempt to repeat the trick which led to them staging a superb comeback last season.

13:36: What a start for Liverpool and what a moment for Rickie Lambert. Adam Lallana lofts a ball forward and Lambert drifts in behind Kelly, kills the ball with his first touches before sliding beyond Speroni. A first ever Reds goal for the boyhood Liverpool fan.

Goal: Crystal Palace 0-1 Liverpool (Rickie Lambert)

13:34: Under way at Selhurst Park.

13:31: Players on their way at Selhurst Park. Pressure on Liverpool to improve on last season's result, while Palace will have license to throw everything at today's visitors. Kick-off on the way.

13:20:

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers: "The international break came at a good time... We've got a good run of games and today is very important."

— Premier League (@premierleague) November 23, 2014

13:15: After netting twice against Liverpool last season, Dwight Gayle is back for Crystal Palace in one of three changes made by Neil Warnock. Mile Jedinak and Martin Kelly also return, the latter facing his former club for the first time.

Brendan Rodgers is without Mario Balotelli and Jordan Henderson so Rickie Lambert comes in from the start and Joe Allen begins in midfield alongside captain Steven Gerrard. Six of the Liverpool team finished last season's 3-3 draw in May, but has the pain eased?

13:10: Teams

Crystal Palace v Liverpool

Crystal Palace: Speroni; Kelly, Delaney, Dann, Ward; Jedinak, Ledley; Puncheon, Chamakh, Bolasie; Gayle.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Manquillo, Skrtel, Lovren, Johnson, Gerrard, Allen, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling, Lambert.

13:00: Arguably the footnote amid a feast of sporting action on this penultimate weekend in November, yet that does nothing to diminish its importance. The return of the Premier League came with it a shock at the Emirates Stadium as Manchester United defeated Arsenal. Today, we have two games where the visitors must confront the demons of last season. Liverpool return to the scene of their collapse in last season's title race, as they relinquished a three-goal lead before drawing 3-3 with Crystal Palace. Though Palace are a different proposition under Neil Warnock than during Tony Pulis' reign, Liverpool have yet to catch alight themselves this term without Luis Suarez and an injury-stricken Daniel Sturridge.

In the late game, Tottenham travel to Hull City with manager Mauricio Pochettino under pressure after another home defeat to Stoke City last time out. The FA Cup runners-up haven't recaptured the form which brought them much success last term. An intriguing afternoon is in prospect.
