Bafana Bafana were boosted by the arrival in camp of five overseas-based players.
Belgium-based Anele Ngcongca, Andile Jali, Ayanda Patosi and Darren Keet joined their compatriots in camp on Sunday night (28 December) with Tokelo Rantie, who plays his club football in England only arrived on Monday morning.
All five players have gone to Pretoria for medical assessments as required ahead of the tournament.
They will join their Bafana Bafana teammates at training Monday evening. The squad did not train in the morning after the session was called off to give the players a break.
Bafana Bafana are in camp as part of preparation for the CAF Orange Africa Cup of Nations Equatorial Guinea 2015 tournament which starts next month.
Coach Ephraim Shakes Mashaba had called up 34 players to the mini-training camp which started last week Friday and will conclude on Tuesday when the squad is trimmed down to the final 23 players who will travel to Equatorial Guinea for the tournament.Only two players will miss the training camp – Netherlands-based Thulani Serero, who is expected on Friday while England-based Dean Furman will be in South Africa on Sunday.
Bafana Bafana are in Group C along with Algeria, Senegal and Ghana in the tournament.
