One of the biggest stories in February involved the Red Devils striker, who agreed a five-and-a-half year, £300,000-a-week deal with Manchester United. There had been fears that Rooney was considering his future at the club following their poor start to the 2013/14 season, but Rooney dispelled that by agreeing the most lucrative deal in English football history.
