Robin van Persie started February on shaky ground as the a combination of poor form and a reported dispute with then-boss David Moyes saw the Dutchman seemingly ostracised from the United starting XI. The result was suggestions that he could be on his way out of Old Trafford, with even Arsenal touted as a potential destination. By chance, talkSPORT happened to come across an RVP sign with an Arsenal badge. What are the chances?! February also saw revelations over the extent of Chelsea’s titanic spending and an appeal to help find Arsenal’s club-record signing Mesut Ozil, who had suddenly gone missing from big matches.
