Thierry Henry has reportedly been offered a chance to begin his coaching career at Arsenal.

According to the Mirror, the Gunners legend, who is currently a pundit with Sky Sports since retiring from football at the end of last year has also been taking his Uefa coaching badges.

The report claims that the World Cup winning striker will be given a chance to work with Arsenal's famed Hale End Academy, as he needs hands-on experience to complete his coaching programme.

It is believed that he has already taken some sessions at the club as part of his coaching badges and will be given an opportunity to work with the Gunners youngsters.

Henry has always maintained that he would like to get into management in the future despite signing a lucrative contract with Sky Sports.

Apart from working with the youngsters at Arsenal, the former Barcelona striker also spent time with the Wales U15 team as a part of his coaching programme.

"It was a pleasure to welcome Thierry Henry to the Wales U15 camp today," Osian Roberts, the Welsh national team coach and technical director tweeted.

Arsene Wenger has already tipped Henry for a future in management and was also open to welcoming the striker back to Arsenal in a coaching capacity. But he made it clear that the player should be able to handle the pressures that come with the job in order to survive.

"He has to learn his job first. I have seen so many people who have the qualities to be a manager but not survive their first job because they are not ready. When you are a football player, you think it's so simple to be a manager. When you are a manager, you think it's so complicated suddenly and, if you're not prepared for that, you cannot survive," Wenger said, as quoted by the Telegraph.
