Premier Soccer League club Moroka Swallows have announced the appointment of Fani Madida as their head coach with immediate effect.
Madida has been in the hot seat in an acting capacity following the removal of Zeca Marques, who was given a different role within the club. The former Kaizer Chiefs star managed to steady the Birds' nest and the club rewarded him with a permanent post as the second half of the season gets underway.
Swallows CEO Leon Prins said “Swallows Management had full confidence in Fani and considering the work he has put in in preparing the squad for the second half of the season and the excellent spirit and work ethic he has instilled in the players. There was no need to delay such a decision. The squad has trained very hard during the break and we look forward to a successful second round.”
Swallows resume their survival bid with an away clash against Sundowns on Tuesday night.
