German football expert Olly Knack joined talkSPORT’s Transfer Tavern to discuss all the latest rumours and reports from the Bundesliga.
He brings us the latest new regarding Manchester City’s interest in former Chelsea man Kevin De Bruyne, but believes there is “no chance” Wolfsburg will allow one of their key players to leave, as they look to build their squad after finishing runners up to Bayern Munich in the league last season.
There’s also an update of Manchester United’s “complicated” pursuit of Borussia Dortmund playmaker Ilkay Gundogan, after both Bayern and Barcelona have “backed off” the 24-year-old.
He may has one year left on his contract, but both the club and his agent are in agreement that he will not be a Dortmund player next season, with Gundogan eager to leave for another big, Champions League-challenging, team.
Plus, Olly shares his thoughts over a possible swap deal between Manchester United and Bayern Munich, with reports suggesting Louis van Gaal is open to allowing British record signing Angel di Maria to leave after a disappointing debut Premier League campaign.
