Wales manager Chris Coleman has noticed no difference in Gareth Bale’s mood during training with the national side ahead of their crucial Euro 2016 qualifier against Israel.
Bale, the world’s most expensive footballer, has been publicly criticised by fans of his club Real Madrid after a series of below par performances in recent months.
The Welsh winger received the brunt of the abuse after Madrid lost 2-1 to arch rivals Barcelona on Sunday, but Coleman believes his star player is ready to perform.
“I cannot see any difference in Baley at all,” said the Wales manager.
“If I thought it was bothering him, and we’re all human beings so I know it can bother you from time to time and you can get a bit down, then I would have sat down with him and had that conversation.”
Coleman Bale remains focused solely on the task at hand with Wales as they head to Haifa unbeaten so far in their four matches during qualifying.
The 44-year-old said: “We have not mentioned Real Madrid. We have only talked about Wales, Israel and the job at hand.
“He is happy, relaxed and more importantly he is fit and ready to play.”
Bale's recent troubles have triggered rumours linking him with a return to the Premier League this summer, with Manchester United reportedly interested in the former Tottenham man.
