All over? Liverpool and Arsenal set to miss out on teen sensation

Norwegian wonderkid Martin Odegaard has rejected interest from Liverpool and Arsenal to seal his move to Real Madrid, according to Norwegian newspaper Drammens Tidende.

The 16-year-old is the most coveted young player in Europe, with a large number of big clubs keen to secure his services.

And now Drammens Tidende, which is based in the same city as Odegaard's current club Stromsgodset, claims the youngster has finally opted for Real Madrid. Odegaard is expected to sign a contract at the Bernabeu as soon as Real Madrid and Stromsgodset have agreed upon a fee, and the two clubs have begun negotiations.

Odegaard considered a number of offers and narrowed his options down to four clubs – Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and his favourite club Liverpool.

After much deliberation, he has chosen Real Madrid and despite his tender years it is believed he will be incorporated into Carlo Ancelotti's first-team squad in the summer, although he will work with the club's Castilla [B team] side until then.

The midfielder, who has trained with a number of Europe's giants in recent weeks including Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, made his senior international debut aged just 15 and 253 days back in August 2014.
