Manchester United legend Roy Keane has been summoned to appear in court over an alleged row with a taxi driver in Greater Manchester.
Keane, who also played for Nottingham Forest and Celtic during an illustrious playing career, has been ordered to appear at Trafford Magistrates' Court on 31 March after the summons was posted on Monday (2 March).
He has been called to answer questions over an alleged Section 4A Public Order offence, reportedly involving a taxi driver in Altrincham.
The former midfielder is currently assistant manager of Republic of Ireland after he stepped down from his role at Aston Villa.
Last year Keane lifted the lid on his football career in his second autobiography, "The Second Half". During his playing days Keane won a total of seven Premier League titles, as well as three FA Cups and the Champions League, and remains one of United's most successful captains of all time.
