David de Gea has reportedly agreed personal terms with Real Madrid for a move in the summer, according to the Daily Mirror

The goalkeeper, who has been by far United's best player in the campaign, has refused to extend his contract with the Red Devils which expires next summer and is looking forward to reuniting with Real, from where he moved in 2011 under the purview of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Real are looking to make De Gea their number one next season, with Iker Casillas expected to leave after being handed a lot of abuse by the fans and media alike for his recent performances for the club.

Louis van Gaal has tried his best to convince De Gea to extend his stay in Manchester, but to no avail thus far and is looking at other options to bridge that gap next season.

The Red Devils have been linked with a  move for Petr Cech in the summer and are also keeping tabs on Hugo Lloris, while also having former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes on the sidelines.

United are expected to charge Madrid at least £30m for his services from Madrid, where he will sign a contract worth £4m a year. Van Gaal has come out publicly with one final throw of the dice for De Gea, stating that the club has offered him lot of money to stay, but the decision now completely depends on the player.

"I want him to stay. The player is the boss, he can say 'yes' or 'no'. You will have to ask David de Gea, not me. He has to sign. We have offered him a lot of money," Van Gaal said.

However, the attention will shift to their game against Arsenal in the weekend, where anything less than a win will all but extinguish their chances of a top three finish.
